CBAid established mobile units to distribute aid
Zagreb, March 13th, 2020 – Director of the Croatian Baptist Union humanitarian organization CBAid, Toma Magda, calls a meeting of the team for strategic planning and crisis intervention and informs about the need for mobile team for providing support and aid to people in need.
Since the beginning of the COVID-19 crisis in Croatia, CBAid mobile teams have been distributing hygiene packets for churches members of the Croatian Baptist Union, as well as food and NFI. They have also actively and constantly worked to improve hygiene conditions for refugees in the camps in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
CBAid mobile teams have distributed hygiene packets (masks, gloves, soap) and disinfectants to 35 churches around Croatia who accepted the aid.
Recognizing the need for further engagement, especially after the earthquake that hit Zagreb on March 22, 2020, CBAid mobile teams continue with their humanitarian activities and serving those in need. The focus of the teams will be to provide food, hygiene and psychosocial support.
We invite you to pray for our teams, and that our gifts be of real help to people to stay healthy and protected from the disease.
